Alexander
Miller is
a Mechanical Engineering student beginning his senior year
at the University of Minnesota - Duluth. During his
studies, he has been involved in an internship that
researched a surgical endoscope. An endoscope is a long,
slender, flexible medical instrument used to examine a
bodily organ or perform certain medical procedures.
Alex
also served an internship with a major food distributor,
working on issues of increased efficiency and cost savings
in global food supply. His home is in Eau Claire,
Wisconsin.

Scott
Durand is
a second-year, pre-doctoral student in dentistry at the
University of Minnesota. He is involved with studies of
chronic oral and facial pain, and plans to attend a
one-year, hospital-based dental residency program. He
lives in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Heather
Hickok, of
Sarasota, Florida, is a junior at the University of
Central Florida in Orlando, majoring in Anthropology. She
changed her career plans after taking her first course in
Anthropology. Previously, she was planning a career in
Hospitality Management. After graduation, Heather plans to
join the Peace Corps to continue her experiences with
other cultures.

Daniel Degallier will
begin his freshman year this fall at the University of
Wisconsin - Stout in Menomonie, where he will pursue a
Fine Arts degree in Industrial Design. An Eagle Scout,
Daniel enjoys outdoor activities. His home is in Fountain
City, Wisconsin.

Andrew
Keppel married,
with three children, is pursuing a degree through Phoenix
University in Business and Organizational Innovation. A
full-time employee with Lifetime Fitness, a nationwide
chain of work-out centers, Andrew and his wife Kristin
live in Mayer, Minnesota. Andrew noted on his application
that he hopes to demonstrate to his children the
importance of a college education, and of finishing what
you start.
